Whether you plan to celebrate Valentine’s Day or not, there’s no reason you can’t celebrate the less controversial Galentine’s Day with your girls!
Galentine’s Day falls on Feb. 13 and is a day to celebrate all the lovely ladies in your life.
As Leslie once said: “Every February 13, my ladyfriends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It’s like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas.”
Step 1: Send pretty invites to your squad.
Sure, you could just send a group text to all your gal pals to tell them about the party, but why not make it feel a little more official? I use Evite for all my events! It’s easy and FREE. You can choose to send via email or text.
Step 2: Decorate.
Enlist one or two of the attendees to come over a couple of hours early and help you decorate. If you have the time you can use DIYs to set the scene. Or if you’re a busy bee like me you can just buy your decor.
Step 3: Treat yo self (and your gals).
While Valentine’s Day and Galentine’s Day are times to indulge in sweet treats, you also want to make sure to have savory options. Put together a killer snack spread for everyone to enjoy throughout the night.
Step 4: Prepare activities for a night of entertainment and fun.
Have a traditional sleepover by watching movies or choose your favorite games for a game night!Take a million photos in the photo booth with fun props, so you’ll have plenty of Instagram-worthy shots to remember the night.
