Oh, The Windy City

Dear fashionable friends,
Last week I had the amazing opportunity to take off a few days of work and school for a girl getaway in Chicago. For those of you who know me you know my hate relationship with the cold. I would do this trip all over again despite the negative temperatures, the windy city is just that good. There is so much to see, so much to do, and it is just so different compared to the southern living I am accustom to.
Willis Tower

Willis Tower’s Sky deck was one of my favorite visits while in Chicago. Willis Tower previously known as Sears Tower is the third tallest building in the world. The Skydeck offers a spectacular view from the 103rd floor. To complete your exciting Chicago experience head to the Ledge, a glass balcony showcasing unbeatable views of Chicago’s top attractions like Wrigley Field and the Navy Pier. You can’t leave without experiencing the amazing thrill of standing on the balcony 1,353 feet off the ground. The admission fee is $19.50 a person, and I promise it is worth the price.

In this weather you have no choice but to layer! I am talking three pairs of socks, leggings underneath your pants, and boots were my only option of a shoe. Maybe I am exaggerating due to my southern ways and hate for the cold? NO! Trust me we were dealing with negative 13 degree winds, and waking up to temperatures at two degrees. When they say it is the windy city the phrase is literal. Wind that can knock you off of your feet. Pictured above in our selfie you can see we are bundled up entirely.

I was told not to leave Chicago without trying their famous pizza. With pizza being one of my favorite foods I had no choice but to honor this rule.  We tried Gino’s Pizza & Spaghetti House

which was located a few blocks from the Hilton Hotel we were staying at downtown. One of the best decisions of my life! Good pizza, good drinks, and good service.

I just absolutely loved this little famous pizzeria. The scenery, the good food, and the amazing service. I would give it an all around ten out of ten experience. I definitely recommend visiting while you’re in Chicago if you are a pizza lover like I am.

Chicago was good to me.
Catch you on the flip side,
