Dear Fashionable Friends,

A quote I am constantly reminding myself each and everyday at this point in time is “Comparison is the thief of Joy.”

This is something I firmly believe in – especially during this time of year. It is so easy to look at the next person’s accomplishments and materialist things and wonder why you do not have these same things. Don’t.. Do not do this. This is indeed easier said than done, and I know this because I am living it. So often I am wondering what I need to be doing to get to point B. I find myself always wanting more and wondering what I can do to get to where I want to be – there is nothing wrong with that. Setting goals and creating a plan to get there is awesome. But we must also find time to take a step back and be thankful for what we have.

I will be the first to admit that social media plays a huge role in our everyday comparison. I am sure that people do the same to me – compare. You only see what I post on social media. There you will only see the good because I choose what I want the world to see. I am so guilty of this as well and am working on it everyday.  I have 5 ways I am working on this and I want to share with you:

  1. Focus on the present – be thankful for now.
  2. Give yourself a break from social media.
  3. Spend more time in the world around you than the world inside your phone.
  4. Eliminate hurriedness and busyness.
  5. Celebrate good health.

So lets count our blessings together babes, not just now but everyday!

A scripture that I read as much as possible is one that my grandmother left with me. She was my prayer warrior ❤
I’m going to give you guys a Bible verse for this one:

Matthew 6:34. “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.”

Catch you on the flip side,
